Biography

I was born in Blythe, California July 26. 1968 and raised in Simi Valley, California until the sixth grade. I moved to Oroville, California in the winter of 1979. I attended Oakdale Heights Elementary, Central Middle School and graduated from Las Plumas High School in 1986. After high school I enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained as a field Medic. I completed basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and my medical training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After completing training I was stationed at a research and development facility in Fort Detrick, Maryland.  Once my Army enlistment was complete and having started my family I was compelled to move back home to the town I loved, back home to my family in Oroville, where I would raise my daughters and never leave again.

I enrolled in Butte Community College and studied accounting and computer science which led to my interest in engineering and drafting. Due to a growing family I began working as a welder at a local manufacturing facility and quickly moved up in the company. I then accepted a new position at a manufacturing facility in Chico, where I would have more opportunity to move up the ladder. I soon found myself managing virtually every aspect of operations and found that I had a certain knack for sales and negotiations. Next I was recruited to position that focused more on my accounting talents and sales and became an estimator for a local structural steel business. After a few years went by, the desire to become an entrepreneur was driving me to move on and I became involved in real estate. I had found it, the perfect fit for my skill set and ambition. In 2004 I became a Realtor and in 2006 I got my Real Estate Brokers license.

In 2007, when the real estate market collapsed, I accepted a position with Butte County where I was hired on as an Eligibility Specialist. I have had the honor of being with Butte County for 7 years where I have been promoted within my department and have developed my skillset to be effective in management and community service.  My position has allowed me to help our community be the wonderful place I know it can be. I am now focused on bringing positive change to Butte County and to give a voice to the citizens of District 1. I am committed to bringing reasonable solutions to the difficult questions here in Butte County, making our County a place to raise families for generations to come.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

There are many issues that I would aspire to do as well as the incumbent in district 1.

Our water is of the utmost importance to our community and I would strive to maintain the work our incumbent has done here.

We must continue to work with Cal Fire to ensure that our county has the best available fire protection at a resonable cost.

We must work together with our local law enforcement agencies to retain our tenured staff and be aggressive in bringing on new, well trained staff when and where needed.

We need to bring competitive wages within our county so we can retain our well trained prosecutors, correctional officers and social workers so that we can provide a safe community for all of our residents.

We need to continue to be fiscally sound in Butte County and be prepared for the future with whatever it brings.

I believe that I am  globally minded and will to help to find solutions to Butte County issues. I am not focused on being a politician, this is not about personal gain.  I am focused on being your public servant and I will on bring a beneficial future to our county for this and future generations. Butte County is a wonderful place to live and we need to keep it this way. It is time for change, not in every aspect but we must be open to change where it is beneficial to all of our residents, not just a select few. I would be honored by receiving your vote and would be focused on working hard for you!
