Experience

Biography

San Joaquin County’s strength comes from its people. We are strongest when our communities are safe, our economy is growing, government is fiscally responsible and our children receive a quality education. We are a people on the rise, but we must work together.

I was born and raised in this county and come from a family of small business owners who value hard work and education. I was the first in my family to graduate college and served as a Deputy District Attorney prosecuting elder abuse, domestic violence and DUI cases.

Now, as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, I’m working to promote job creation, keep violent criminals in jail, address homelessness, support at-risk youth, and fight the Twin Tunnels to protect our region’s water supply and agriculture. I’m also, working to promote childhood literacy by starting free book exchanges throughout our community.

I’m honored to be supported by the Stockton and Manteca Police Officers Associations, Sheriff Steve Moore, County Superintendent James Mousalimas, Manteca Mayor Steve DeBrum and Stockton Councilmember Susan Lofthus.

You can count on me to be accessible, effective and committed to our county’s future.

With your support, we can continue moving our community forward together.
