I felt strongly that this measure was pesented to the voters dishonestly. No Measure A promoters bothered to record their arguments for this community video series.

After hours of research, I found that the problems the tax was intended to solve, would most likely continue even after raising the tax. A tax rate this high can make the difference between buying a washing machine, or having to go to a laundromat to wash your family's clothes. It can make the difference between buying your child a laptop, or not being able to afford it until next year.

We still haven't seen the full benefits promised by Measure A, even after years of one of the highest tax rates in the country. Throwing money at a complex problem might relieve symtptoms, but the underlying problem won't go away.

In this video, I offer you documented facts that explain why I think the Sequoia Healthcare District needs to change. The Grand Jury reports that I cited are all available online for corroboration. Instead of describing the wonderful things that I want to do with your money, I am asking you to consider the premise on which this District continues in its present incarnation, and whether or not this Board has shown integrity in its behavior over the years.

I think not, and that is why I am askig for your vote this November.
