Harvard Law School Juris Doctorate, Law (2010)
University of California Los Angeles Bachelor of Arts, Political Science (2007)

My personal and professional background gives me a unique perspective on Rocklin Unified School District’s opportunities and challenges.

I attended Parker Whitney Elementary and Spring View Middle School before graduating from Rocklin High School, UCLA, and Harvard Law School.  My wife and I moved back to Rocklin to start our family because of Rocklin’s great public schools and wonderful sense of community.

As an attorney for schools, I counsel school boards and administrators through tough decisions and help them navigate the tens of thousands of laws applicable to public education and public employers.

I committed to community service as an Eagle Scout, and I have re-engaged with our city and students as the South Placer Rotary Club’s New Generations Chair and as Vice Chair of the Rocklin Educational Excellence Foundation.

Rocklin’s teachers prepared me well for success, but in a fast-changing world, our schools need to stay ahead of the challenges that face our children.  I will ensure that my daughter and every child have even better opportunities than I had growing up in Rocklin.
