Biography

Dear Neighbor,

We are all fortunate to live on the Central Coast and one of our

gems is Port San Luis. I am running to represent you on the

Harbor Commission because I believe the Commission should

have broader representation.

The Port should not only support local businesses – it should also

support a wide range of public activities including family picnics,

camping, watersports, educational opportunities at the Lighthouse and

sport fishing.

It is important now more than ever to create a sustainable vision and plan for

residents and visitors alike.

As a Civil Engineer, I will bring a methodical problem-solving approach to guide the

Harbor in an inclusive, open and service-oriented Board. I’ve been involved with the

Port since the 1990’s – helping to restore the historic lighthouse and keeping the pier

viable. It comes down to priorities after all, and I believe that the Port’s priorities

should reflect the breadth and depth of our diverse community.

I respectfully ask for your support and your vote on or before November 8th.

Thank you,

Bob Vessely
