My Top 3 Priorities

  • Community Safety, with emphasis on community relations and building trust with all members of our diverse community. Listening to and giving value to the concerns of all residents of the county.
  • Fiscal responsibility, building efficiency throughout the department to reduce the strain on our budget, reducing jail overcrowding by diverting people suffering from mental illness, addiction and homelessness.
  • Addressing the high rate of employee turnover, retention and excessive overtime, which contributes to poor moral. Increase training for deputies to provide necessary tools.
