Political Philosophy

As your Trustee, I have been focused on holding our school administration accountable to provide 21st century education that emphasizes Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Character! This prepares our scholars to be College, Carrier and most importantly Life ready!

In the past 4 years, I am proud that AUHSD implemented programs and received accolades that benefited our scholars:

  • Anaheim Pledge, a comprehensive covenant to our scholars and parents which culminates in guaranteed admission to University of California Irvine and California State University Fullerton
  • Increasing Graduation Rate and Decreasing Dropout rate
  • Increasing our transfer rate to University of California, Irvine
  • Awards Recognition: 5 California Distinguished schools, 13 California Gold Ribbon Schools, 5 California Democracy Schools
  • One year partnership with TESLA Foundation, which trained our scholars in drone technology
  • Anaheim Innovative Mentoring Experience, which continues to give internship and mentoring opportunities for our scholars in Business, Trade and Government sector
  • Building a partnership with the City of Anaheim to open up fields for community use and donate fireworks sales revenue to school programs
  • Creation of Parent Leadership Academy
  • UCI Saturday Law Academy
  • Funding for Anaheim HS Pool
  • First in the nation, Digital Mapping System for Anaheim HS, that helps increase response time for first responders
  • Measurer H construction project completion are on time and under budget
  • Saving a total of approximately 16 million for Tax payers on the Bonds

While the above and other accomplishments are celebrated, we have more work to be done. We need to focus on further improving all our academic metrics and providing more opportunities for our scholars. I will continue to:

  • Invest in keeping our Scholars safe in their school sites
  • Invest in 21st century education emphasizing on Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Character
  • Invest in state of the art facilities
  • Create a community school model that helps our students and parent find resources
  • Hold our Administrators, School sites, staff and teachers accountable!

I was honored to be elected by you 4 years ago, and have never missed a board meeting represent you! I am ready to lead for another 4 years!

I humbly ask for your vote on November 6th to continue the progress.
