My Top 3 Priorities

  • Expand partnerships with community to address services and resources needed to support successful student learning example: 98% of students reported on the SARC living in poverty at Oak View.
  • Progressive management of student data to identify assessment deficits and opportunities for intervention programs. Example:Only 30% of Oak View students meeting or exceeding standard - Teachers need support in addressing barriers to student success.
  • Prepare students for high school, college, and vocational programs by creating intentional preparatory programs at a young age. 8th graders need an educational plan entering high school to be successful.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

My candidacy for the role of Governing Board Trustee for Ocean View School District is based on the moral imperative for equal and equitable access to educational opportunities for students within my community.  I see a need for data improvement of educational learning outcomes in OVSD.   Cohesive direction of the Governing Board of Trustees to act in the best educational interests of students.  Building school improvement by improving the lives of families with outstanding Faith, Business and School community support while focusing on data driven instruction and accountable learning methods.
