My Top 3 Priorities

  • Public Safety: As a 20-year law enforcement veteran, Charles is the only candidate with real world experience. A comprehensive plan to address homelessness, an ordinance to regulate sober living homes, and be a partner to our police officers.
  • Development: Development in Dana Point has to be responsible, sustainable, and bring value to our community and residents. More importantly, it needs to honor the quality and character of our small-town without overbuilding.
  • Bring integrity, trust, and transparency back to our local government. Charles is a huge advocate for responsible spending, transparent government, and the residents' right to be involved and informed about their local government.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Charles is a strong advocate for conservative financial policies.  He believes elected officials have a duty to be good stewards of the public funds, and that the government should live within its means.  His is also an advocate for transparency and the residents' right to be informed and involved.  As a Dana Point Council Member, Charles will be a fierce advocate for our residents and work to:

  • Create a comprehensive plan to tackle homelessness and rising crime, and partner with local law-enforcement to ensure our residents feel safe in their community.
  • Foster an environment that brings new small businesses to the city, supports existing ones, and revitalizes local establishments like Doheny Village in a way that respects the quality and character of our small town.
  • Stop wasteful city spending, balance our budgets, and fund investment for our future
  • Commit to transparency and open government that respects residents and ensured their rights to be informed and involved in their local government
