My Top 3 Priorities

  • Safety First. I am the only candidate that truly understands safety. I have design NASA safety standards and have run safety boards for the U.S.Navy.
  • Fiscal responsibility - using a prioritization method for allocation of funds based on cost/benefit analysis.
  • Support local business including start-ups, getting the mall back in operation, and re-vitalization of existing businesses.

Experience

Experience

Profession:Retired Rocket Scientist
Laguna Hills Traffic Commissioner, Laguna Hills City Council — Appointed position (2017–current)

Education

Columbia University (M.S.), Columbia University (B.S.), and Marietta College (B.A.) I majored in Physics and Engineering, with minors in mathematics.

Biography

I am a 32 year resident of Laguna Hills.  My wife of 40 years, Nancie, and I have two children (a medical doctor and a doctoral candidate) who graduated from Laguna Hills High School.

For 14 years at Boeing, I was a rocket scientist with 4 patents.  In that capacity, I ran the safety and risk management boards and routinely solved problems.  For the prior 13 years, I worked with NASA on the United States Space Station where I created software, hardware, processes and procedures to protect our astronauts’ lives and the Space Program.  I also handled multi-million dollar budgets.  I believe this to be perfect training for City Council issues.
