My Top 3 Priorities

  • Stop TCA from building an unnecessary toll road through San Clemente. I will also stop TCA from building managed lanes on I-5, which is outside their authority and beyond the agreement of all cities and the county to form this agency.
  • I will continue to partner with homeless providers and look for new opportunities to get people off the street. I will work with and request the county to fulfill their duty to provide mental health services and housing.
  • I will work to improve our public spaces in our older areas of the city, which honors our General Plan and our Economic Development Plan.

Biography

I have proudly served on the San Clemente City Council for the past four years. In that time, I have brought the city through serious issues to our residents, including regulating sober living homes and vacation rentals in our neighborhoods. Our ordinaces have stood up to the test in court, cannot be challenged further, and many of these homes have closed. Our city now has the tools to enforce good behavior and if that is not followed, we can shut down each home.

I have worked with hospital providers to bring back a hospital to San Clemente and I will continue to work with them until a hospital and emergency room services are restored to our city. To increase public safety, I have hired an additional Sheriff's investigator and two officers and I added a 4th firefighter to engines and doubled our ambulance services. I have expanded our homeless providers to include Mercy House, who is in our city 6 days a week and is working closely with our Sheriff's Department. I have modified city ordinances to aid the Sheriff's Department in enforcing public safety.

I am endorsed by the Orange County Professional Firefighter's Association.

Preserving and increasing our quality of life in San Clemente is first and foremost my promise to our residents. I have represented you on the TCA board and I have proven that I will protect our city against the planning of the toll road. I will not stop until TCA no longer threatens our city.

I have the experience to lead San Clemente into the future, adapting to changing needs and issues, and I will improve our city while honoring our general plan that was set by residents. I will preserve and protect the quality of life that we have in San Clemente.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I am conservative and I follow laws. I care foremost about doing what is right for my city and doing what is right does not follow political party lines. What is right for all of San Clemente is what I care about and how I base my decisions.
