Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • ALLEVIATING TRAFFIC CONGESTION by adding a 3rd lane to the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, collaborating with state and federal officials to fully fund the widening of the Novato Narrows, and investing in our roads, streets and bike lane infrastructure.
  • PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT AND OPEN SPACE AREAS by limiting development in rural areas, helping sustain family farms and agricultural operations in West Marin, combating climate change and increasing renewable energy use.
  • INCREASING TRANSPARENCY AND IMPROVING COMMUNICATION with Marin County residents, both to ensure accountability to taxpayers and to facilitate dialogue and engagement with local residents.

Dominic Grossi is a 4th generation Marin County resident, dairy farmer, father and small business owner who is ready to bring his agricultural and business background to strengthen Marin County as a member of the Board of Supervisors.

Dominic has deep roots in our community. His great grandfather, Dominico Grossi, settled in Marin County in 1895. Approximately 10 years later, Dominico moved west of Novato, where he started a dairy on a large piece of land amongst rolling hills and pastures that remains with the Grossi family to this day. Dominico’s son (and Dominic’s grandfather) George Grossi continued his father’s legacy and started George Grossi & Son Dairy.

In 1950, Dominic’s grandfather sold about 64 acres of the family’s land to the North Marin Water District, leading to the creation of Stafford Lake. In 1971, he went on to sell another 139 acres of the family ranch to the County of Marin to facilitate the creation of Stafford Lake Park, a popular park and open space destination right here in the 4th District.

Dominic has served in numerous leadership roles with agricultural, environmental and county groups and organizations. He has also helped lead his family’s dairy business, which is currently in the process of receiving organic certification. Dominic’s dairy business supports other locally-owned businesses in the area, part of his commitment to supporting our local economy.

Some of Dominic's extensive community involvement includes service as:

  • President, Marin County Farm Bureau
  • President, Sonoma-Marin Fair Board of Directors
  • President, North Bay Dairy Herd Improvement Association Board of Directors
  • President, Redwood Empire Holstein Association Board of Directors
  • Secretary, Marin Agricultural Land Trust Board of Directors
  • Member, Marin County Expenditure Plan Working Group
  • Member, Marin County Agri-Tourism Committee
  • Member, Marin County Regulatory Improvement Advisory Committee

Dominic holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He and his wife, Nancy, live near Stafford Lake in Novato where they are raising their two school-age children: Paige and Bryce.
