Dan Tavares Arriola grew up in the City of Tracy and is very familiar with the issues facing our local community. Unfortunately, like many in our community, Dan grew up in a poverty-stricken household and it is this experience that has fueled his ambition to support the diverse array of students in our city. Although faced with significant challenges in his own life, including having to work as a janitor and housecleaner while in high school to help support himself and his family, Dan was able to overcome these obstacles and succeed in his academic and professional endeavors. After Dan graduated from Merrill F. West High School in 2007, Dan continued to pursue his education and graduated as the Political Science Valedictorian of UCLA in 2011 & as the Student Body President of USC Law in 2014.
After passing the California Bar Exam, Dan launched his own criminal defense law practice and became one of the youngest attorneys in the State of California to own and run a solo law practice. Later, Dan was offered and eagerly accepted a position as Deputy District Attorney of San Joaquin County. Today, Dan prosecutes individuals who commit crimes in our community as a Deputy District Attorney.
