Housing Is a Human Right, Together We Can Guarantee It. — September 10, 2018 Emmanuel Estrada

As wages stagnanate, the most vulnerable groups of people are ending up homeless. The elderly, minorities and people of color are being left to fend for themselves. The working class is having to work two or three jobs to just make it by. Economic stress is hurting our mental health and putting us in a never ending cycle of poverty and hopelessness. We live in the fifth largest economy in the world, but we also live in the state with some of the highest income inequality and homelessness rates. Without economical safety nets such as tenant rights and rent control minorities are being displaced through gentrification. Housing is a Human Right, your socioeconomic status should not decide whether you can live a dignified life or not.
