Mis 3 prioridades principales

  • Prosecuting Street Crimes that Impact Everyone.
  • A Proactive, Tailored Approach to Neighborhood Issues focused on Community-Centered Justice.
  • Fixing the Broken District Attorney's Office.

In 2001, Nancy moved to San Francisco to serve as a Deputy Attorney General and never looked back. As a prosecutor for the State of California, she protected the public in state and federal court. Her work from that time included partnering with local District Attorneys to return internationally kidnapped children to their families. Nancy worked as a prosecutor in the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office for over a decade, prosecuting domestic violence cases, protecting consumers, and upholding public integrity by prosecuting police misconduct, fraud, and embezzlement. As a senior prosecutor, Nancy has mentored dozens of San Francisco prosecutors and is regarded as a statewide leader on legal ethics and consumer protection issues.

Filosofía política

Nancy believes in Community-Centered Justice, smarter interventions, and restoring public trust and accountability.

  1. Nancy’s concept of Community-Centered Justice focuses on engaging with local neighborhood and community groups to identify and solve neighborhood problems that threaten public safety. She believes that the District Attorney’s Office should be a proactive partner in the community and that safety is not a “one-size-fits-all” proposition.

  2. Nancy also believes that we can establish smarter interventions for first time offenders while still holding people accountable. Smarter interventions includes prioritizing early intervention for first-time offenses by offering diversions out of the criminal justice system, targeting gangs and organized crime, and partnering with law enforcement agencies to produce maximum results against the worst offenders.

  3. As the District Attorney, Nancy will prioritize restoring the public’s trust in our criminal justice system and holding corporations accountable to the public.  She will complete all officer-involved shooting investigations within six months and investigate and prosecute officers who commit any crimes or abuse their authority. She will take a hard line on prosecuting public corruption and embezzlement of public funds, and will hold corporations responsible for anti-competitive behavior and defrauding consumers.
