Profession:Upper San Gabriel Valley Water Board Director
Director, Upper San Gabriel Valley Water District — Elected position (2010–current)

CSU Los Angeles B.A., Political Science (current)

Bryan Urias is a lifelong resident of the San Gabriel Valley who works everyday serving our local communities. The proud son of two hard-working immigrant parents, Bryan learned from an early age the value of hard work and the importance of being active in your community.   Bryan was the first in his family to attend college. He worked his way through school and graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Los Angeles. He decided to put that education to work through a career in public service.   Bryan Urias began his career as an intern for then Congresswoman Hilda Solis, going on to serve as her Field Representative for four years. He then served as Senior Field Deputy and Deputy District Director for U.S. Representative Judy Chu. During this time he also served as a member of the Baldwin Park Housing Commission and Planning Commission.   Currently, Bryan serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Upper San Gabriel Municipal Water District.  First elected in 2010 and overwhelmingly re-elected in November 2014, Bryan has successfully fought to eliminate waste and ensure our hard-earned tax dollars are reinvested in projects that create good-paying jobs and keep water clean and affordable for local families.   Bryan knows firsthand the struggles local families face everyday, and has spent his career standing up for us and our communities.  Bryan wants to put this experience to work representing the region we all call home by becoming the next Assemblymember for the 48th Assembly District.
