My Top 3 Priorities

  • Public Safety - Keep our school kids safety in our schools, roads and pedestrian. Advocate stiffer penalties and prison time for repeat offenders.
  • Fiscal Accountability - My decisions will be based on a thorough study of fiscal benefits to the city and not let Dublin residents be burdened by extra taxation.
  • Pedestrian Friendly Downtown, Strong schools and bring jobs closer to where Dublin residents live.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

I have been exposed at an early age of human suffering, poverty and oppression.  Became a political activist in high school marching and protesting in the streets of Manila, Philippines against President Marcos dictatorship, corruption and human rights violations.  Passionate in defending the weak, the poor and the oppressed is in my blood and in my veins.  Migrated to the United States 1974 and later became a US Citizen.  I am grateful for the opportunity to live in the freedom and democracy of this great country.  In 2006,  I was drawn back in to Dublin politics.  I opposed housing and try to defend Dubliners quality of life because of the large numbers of packed housing.  In 2009, I spoke in front of the city council that we will be facing budget deficits and school overcrowding.  I was right. 5 years later budget deficit was declared by city council and we have school problems.   I was ahead of everybody.  As a city council member, I will make sure that we take proactive approaches in balancing our budgets, maintain a high quality of living for residents and support our schools.  Making sure that our school kids are given the utmost attention for them to succeed academically and professional future.
