My Top 3 Priorities

  • Make it no longer acceptable to sleep on our streets. Homeless must be induced to use city or private services to get off streets, or be arrested.
  • Help police deter property crime by running sting operations, patrolling hotspots, and pushing for tougher sentences.
  • Increase housing by depoliticizing the Planning Department and having all code compliant projects presented for approval within 6 months.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Protecting the right of each of us to live as we choose, as long as we don't harm others, is, for me, the highest political value. Governments, in their best forms, are the protectors of the rights of the individual, an ideal gifted to us during the Age of Enlightment.

Applying the standard of individual rights to municipal government in the 21st century presents challenges. But without any standard, without a measure to decide what activities are appropriate for city government and what is not, elected officials tend to take on endeavors at which city government cannot possibly succeed.

My goal on the Board of Supervisors will be to focus on protecting the rights of each of my constituents, and to strip away those functions of San Francisco City government which out to be outside of its mission.
