My Top 3 Priorities

  • Promote an educational environment that prepares our children for 21st century careers.
  • Ensure Tracy schools are a place where parents feel comfortable sending their children and where all students are safe and able to pursue their aspirations.
  • We must maintain a sound fiscal policy to prevent a state takeover of the district and loss of local control.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

Education is the inoculation against the ills that inflict society, and I am committed to making Tracy schools an educational environment where students want to learn, teachers want to teach, and parents are confident sending their children.  Our children must be college and career ready and I support college preparation programs as well as non-college paths such as trades, Makers, Coders, and other skilled job programs.  I will continue support for improvement of school site security as well as programs that combat bullying and reach out to students so they do not feel isolated or alone.  We have improved the condition of facilities at every campus in TUSD and I am committed to finishing the job.  We have passed a balanced budget and a fair contract with our teachers so we can attract and hold highly qualified district personnel while maintaining fiscal responsibility.  I have a deep understanding of the issues that confront the school district and have developed relationships to create solutions, not just point out problems.
